Faith Skincare Signs Compact for Safe Cosmetics
In an effort to create the highest quality and the most natural acne management system, Faith Skincare has joined the Environmental Working Group's Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and signed the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. We are removing ingredients that we feel have the potential to be carcinogenic such as Methylparaben, Propylparaben, and Diazonidyl Urea ,which act as preservatives, and replacing them with safer alternatives. As there have not been enough studies perfomed to substantiate the safety of parabens and formaldehyde, we wish to leave them out until more information can be generated. These ingredients may cause toxicity, and we do not wish to contradict the benefits of our Purifying Tonic, a nutritional supplement which was developed to detoxify the body. The launch of these paraben free products is scheduled for SPRING 2007.

Faith Skincare believes in the healing power of natural botanical ingredients that bring back the radiance of your skin. Blemish-prone skin constantly battles internal and external environmental pollutants; we formulate skincare products that cleanse, detoxify, rejuvenate, and restore health to delicate skin cells, using herbs containing those qualifying agents such as Chinese Cinnamon Bark, Calendula, Green Tea extract, Pumpkin Seed extract, and many others.

The importance of monitoring the ingredients in our products was brought to our attention when we learned that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 484, the California Safe Cosmetics Act of 2005. The act was authored by Senator Carole Migden (D-San Francisco) and will execute the following:

  • Require cosmetics manufacturers to disclose to the state any product ingredient that is on state or federal lists of chemicals that cause cancer or birth defects.
Allow the state Department of Health Services (DHS) to demand manufacturers supply any health related information about cosmetic ingredients.
Authorize CalOSHA to regulate the products to protect salon workers if they determine a safety risk.

It is our belief that healthy and beautiful skin demands nature's nurturing inside and out. It is our promise to bring forth superior quality products and a safe skincare line to our customers. Therefore, Faith Skincare has pledged to use as many Certified Organic botanicals as possible.  As we undergo a purifying process of our products, please look forward to our toxin free skincare product launch SPRING 2007.
